| Qualifications | WELD TOGETHER METAL PRODUCTS SUCH AS STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OF SHIPS, VESSELS, OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY THAT IS RELATED TO SHIPYARD OPERATIONS. JOB ASSIGNMENT BY QUALIFICATION ACCORDING TO TYPE OF TESTING FOR: STICK WELDER (PLATE), STICK WELDER (PIPE), FLUXCORED ARC WELDER (OPEN BUTT), FLUXCORED ARC WELDER (FILLET), FLUXCORED ARC WELDER (FILLET BUTT), SHORT ARC WELDER, HELI ARC WELDER, AND FLUXCORRED ARC WELDER (PIPE). PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS CLASSIFY THIS POSITION AS HEAVY WORK EXERTING 50 TO 100 POUNDS OF FORCE OCCASIONALLY, 2 5 TO 50 POUNDS FREQUENTLY, 10 TO 25 POUNDS CONSTANTLY TO MOVE OBJECTS. |
